Pupil Premium and Catch Up Premium

Pupil Premium

The Pupil Premium was introduced by the Government as a way to support our more vulnerable pupils, particularly those on free school meals and those who are ‘Looked After’, so that they can achieve increased success in their academic, personal and social development.  It is for each school to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent since each school is best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.

The Department for Education compares the outcomes of disadvantaged pupils with the outcomes of disadvantaged pupils nationally. This allows us to compare the outcomes of our disadvantaged pupils with similar pupils across the country and plan accordingly in terms of what we might look to do in the next academic year.

The documents below provide information about how we have used the Pupil Premium in the previous year and how we intend to use the funds going forward in order to overcome the challenges we have identified.

The PP allocation for our school for 2023-24 is £104,915
