About the HGSA

The Hutton Grammar School Association (HGSA) is a voluntary organisation of parents who, along with staff, raise funds to support the school and its associated activities. All parents of children in the school are automatically members of the Association.

Fund raising events are held on a regular basis, including Bingo nights, quiz nights and an annual Car Boot Sale. Over recent years our fund raising has averaged over £5000 per annum and this money has been used to support major projects such as the school minibuses and to assist in the provision of equipment for the school and its many clubs and organisations.

The HGSA holds informal social evenings from time to time, and the Committee looks forward to meeting as many parents as possible in due course. We also publicise our activities by manning a stand at the new parents’ evening and serving refreshments at the parents’ consultation evenings with teachers.

The Association is always in need of active new members to join the Committee. If you would be prepared to consider doing this, please contact us via the school. If you cannot undertake such a regular commitment as membership of the Committee, then we would still welcome your readiness to be called on occasionally to help at particular events or activities.
