Closure of School Kitchens

Reminder - School Kitchen Closure

As you will be aware from previous communications with both parents and students, the school kitchens will undergo a major refurbishment in July and August.

Following a meeting with the contractors assigned to carry out the works, we have been informed that they will require an extra day of preparation in order to ensure that the completed project is signed off in readiness for the start of term on 4th September.

Therefore the final day of service by the school kitchens will be Thursday 29th June. After this date there will be no food service from the school kitchens at break or lunchtime. We will only be able to cater for students who receive Free School Meals. All other students and staff will need to bring a packed lunch.

Drinks will still be available for sale during lunch times and the Dining Hall will remain open until the end of term to provide somewhere for students to eat their packed lunches.

Students who receive Free School Meals will be able to collect their packed lunch from the Dining Hall at the start of lunchtime each day.

Apologies for any inconvenience that this will cause but the closure is necessary to ensure that the project is completed before the start of the new term in September.
