Yesterday a team of 4 lower 6th Biology students took part in the prestigious Royal Society of Biology North Western Schools Biochallenge hosted at UCLan - and WON!
They were up against 17 other 6th Forms and colleges from all over Lancashire and Greater Manchester and had to tackle 10 challenges on a range of biological aspects from parasites to fur coats to diagnosing the heart conditions of 'Stan the Man'. The winning team consisted of Olivia Aurangzeb, Haydn Farrelly, Tom Kenyon and Effie Roberts, all of whom received prizes for themselves and the school. They worked really well as a team and were an absolute credit to Hutton and the Biology Department. Well done!
