Work Experience

As part of the Careers Education Programme at Hutton, all Year 12 students undertake a work experience placement for one week in the summer term. Students are expected to organise their own placements at a commercial, industrial or professional organisation that is able to provide them with the opportunity to reinforce and strengthen generic work based skills whilst also complementing their pathways to employment or higher education.

Sixth form leaders are on hand to guide and assist students when organising work experience and robust systems are in place to assure the suitability of all placements.
