Welcome to the library!
We have a well-stocked, busy library open to everyone, every day. We have over 7,000 books including a great selection of the latest fiction books aimed at teenagers. We also have up to date non-fiction books (to help with homework or hobbies and interests) along with magazines and fun books.
The library is usually open every lunchtime for pupils to read, research or complete homework. We also have chess club on Mondays, knitting club on Thursdays and jigsaws, scrabble or draughts at other times.
There is an electronic library system for book issue and return and students can borrow two books for two weeks. You can look at our library system on-line:

Pupils in Year 7 -9 will also use the library once a fortnight as part of their English lessons to complete Reading Challenges and use the library facility for English work.
Individual pupils will use the library at various times for Rainbow Reading – a reading scheme aimed at helping pupils gain confidence with reading.
