Inspection Reports

Section 48 - Church School Inspection

A Section 48 Inspection of our work as a Church School was carried out during May and June 2013. We were one of the first schools to be inspected under the new framework and the inspector recognised that 'substantial' progress has been made since the previous inspection, describing Hutton as a school with a "strong, inclusive ethos within which students feel valued, very safe and able to flourish and achieve."

Strengths identified included:
• High standards of student achievement, personal development and conduct within a positive learning culture and secure Christian ethos.
• The outstanding quality of relationships nurtured by effective care, support and guidance.
• The Religious Studies department which achieves impressive academic results and has a major positive influence on students’ thinking and behaviour.
• The Christian leadership of the headteacher, the contribution of the Youth Minister and a dedicated and committed team of staff who go that ‘extra mile’ for students.

Congratulations to all the staff, students, parents and governors who supported us during the inspection and who have worked so hard to develop the Christian distinctiveness of our school.
