Careers Advice and Guidance

Our students are given bespoke advice throughout their two years with us.

From the moment they arrive to the time that they leave, each individual is guided with quality advice and information from a team of experienced advisors.

We help them to investigate areas of study and careers that will inspire them and lead to meaningful employment in the future.

In addition to individual guidance, students are given access to study days at Cambridge and Oxford University as well as links to the NHS and other institutions which will help with their applications.

Guest speakers share their knowledge with our students about a variety of careers, courses and universities.  Current university students, recent graduates and those established in their careers help our Sixth Formers to make informed choices.

Our visit to a HE Convention, held at a local university, allows students to investigate their interests further by talking to a wide range of university representatives.

Those aspiring to Cambridge and Oxford have the opportunity to attend an Oxbridge conference where several admissions tutors and university students deliver lectures and hold Q&A sessions.

The majority of our students go on to Higher Education (see the Destinations page for details). Students have gone on to study at a wide range of universities, including Cambridge, Durham, Warwick, Bath, Liverpool, Manchester, Lancaster, Leeds, Sheffield, UCLAN and Edge Hill.

Quality advice and guidance on employment and apprenticeships are also provided. Appointments with our experienced careers advisor ensure that students receive the specific information which will lead to a successful path forward.
