Year 8 Boys Crowned North West Champions!
Our Year 8 Athletics team travelled to Stanley Park, Blackpool to compete in the English Schools North West 'B' Final, going up against 11 other schools from across the region.
In a display of determination and teamwork, the boys excelled, scoring an incredible 342 points, which secured them 1st place overall — a remarkable achievement!
North of England Champions
At the North of England Championships (7–8 June 2025), Ben R and Josh S, both Year 11 students, delivered title-winning performances in their respective events.
Ben claimed the discus title with a personal best. Meanwhile, Josh overcame fierce competition in the 800m, securing his own North of England title. These wins follow their earlier successes at the Lancashire County Championships, and both now head into the national school competitions with high expectations, all while managing the demands of their GCSE examinations.
