The successful candidate will work on reception and will carry out a variety of administrative duties. The main focus of the role is to undertake administration relating to staff absence cover, acting as a first point of contact for staff who are absent and arranging or booking appropriate cover for their lessons. You will also work on reception to welcome and sign in visitors, parents and students and to deal with telephone enquiries from parents and other stakeholders.

Other duties are likely to include:

· Maintaining and updating student records

· Sending communications to students and parents

· Dealing with incoming and outgoing post

· Assisting with administration relating to student attendance

We are looking for someone with an approachable and professional manner who has excellent communication skills to provide a welcoming first impression for those visiting school or who need assistance from the office. Good organisation and time management skills are also important as the post holder will need to be able to balance the demands of their workload with the regular interruptions of answering the phone and being on reception.
