About Hutton Sixth Form
Welcome to Hutton Sixth Form where we have a long history of excellence and would like you to be part of it.
As a Sixth Form based within school grounds we offer continuity for those students who decide to stay with us and a supportive, caring and friendly environment for those who join us.
Our Sixth Form is about real intellectual challenge in a stimulating and well resourced environment.
We offer excellent teaching with small class sizes which consistently allows our students to progress to the best universities and apprenticeships.
Further to this we offer a wide range of enrichment activities, ranging from theatre productions to social events such as the Prom to inter-house competitions to the ASPIRE group to our nationally recognised sporting excellence.
Our Director of Sixth Form and Assistant Director lead a dedicated team of Sixth Form tutors and support staff. All of this support and guidance is housed within our purpose built Sixth Form Centre.
Hutton is a very special place and I warmly invite you to look around and find out more.
The choice of where to study after completing your GCSEs can be daunting. Hutton Sixth Form has already established itself as a leading force in the delivery of A-levels and you can be confident that our well qualified and experienced staff are well placed to get the very best from every student.
Our excellent A level results place us as the best performing provider in central Lancashire (2019 validated VA scores).
The vast majority of our sixth formers gained a place at their first choice university, with a significant proportion now studying at elite institutions, including Oxford and Cambridge. These achievements have already opened doors to a brighter future for thousands of our past students.
We believe that well-supported, happy and fulfilled students, not only perform better in examinations, but are also better served by their school and so we place a great emphasis on supporting you culturally, spiritually and, of course, academically. Ensuring the development of every individual helps to make Hutton Sixth Form so successful. Each person is cared for by our committed form tutors, subject teachers and our Sixth Form Mentor. We work to ensure that every student has high ambitions, a commitment to others and an awareness of the deeper issues in life.
Young people thrive in the supportive ethos of our friendly and caring Sixth Form.
Should you choose to study with us you will be taught by excellent teachers who are subject specialists and understand the progression from GCSE to A level. We welcome students of all faiths, as well as those of none, who embrace our values and who wish to join us.
We want you to reach higher with Hutton Sixth Form and make our Hutton, your Hutton.
