Students will spend 15 minutes of each day with their form group. During this time the morning register will be taken and any announcements or letters will be given out. The remainder of the time is used for collective worship. Students will ordinarily attend an assembly at least once a week. This could be a year group assembly or a house assembly, additional assemblies may also be organised to present specific information.

LESSONS

Students will have a maximum of five one hour lessons each day. There are three in the morning and two in the afternoon. Each subject is timetabled for 9 lessons over a 2-week period. Once a week year 12 students will have an EPQ lesson with their form tutor. Year 13 will have a lesson to prepare for their futures – including completing UCAS applications, writing personal statements and establishing CV’s for employment.

Free Periods

It is likely that sixth form students will have free periods during their day, this time should be used in a purposeful way. The Sixth Form Centre offers computers and workspaces for students to use as well as a dedicated sixth form reference library.
