Cards for Kindness

All Sixth Form students will be taking part in Cards for Kindness this year. This is where students send Christmas cards to care homes to help spread a bit of festive cheer and combat loneliness.

It's always lovely to receive a card through the post and this often sparks conversation and encourages residents to talk to each other. Research shows this has many health benefits, especially for people living with dementia. This is even more prominent amid the coronavirus pandemic as visiting is suspended.

Cards will be completed during form periods with jokes, Christmas trivia, festive messages or pictures added. All cards will be sent allowing quarantine time to ensure they are safely delivered to the local care homes.
