Teacher of Science - Chemistry

Full Time - MPS/UPS

Required from Summer Term 2019

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic teacher of Science to join a highly successful and forward looking department.

The department has a strong track record of success and we are looking for a teacher who can use their knowledge and experience to inspire and encourage our students.

The successful candidate will teach general Science at Key Stage 3 but will be a Chemistry specialist at Key Stage 4. The ability to teach at A Level would also be an advantage as there may be opportunity for this in future years.

The start date for the post is in the summer term in April 2019 but this could be delayed until September 2019 for the right candidate.

The Preston Teaching School Alliance School Direct training programme provides graduates with a direct route into teaching. The Preston Alliance, working in partnership with the University of Cumbria, consists of a variety of primary, secondary and special schools with a proven track record of providing outstanding teacher training. You will be trained by outstanding teachers within the alliance and receive specialist input from University of Cumbria staff leading to the award of Postgraduate Certificate of Education with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
