We are seeking to appoint a talented, passionate and skilled Network Manager to join an experienced department in our Church of England 11-18 comprehensive school. 

Hutton is an 11-18, Church of England school, rated 'Good' by Ofsted (2017) and 'Outstanding' by SIAMS (2018). We are regularly over-subscribed in Year 7 and admit students from a variety of areas, backgrounds and faiths. 

The post holder will develop and implement the school’s ICT strategy and service provision including managing all aspects of ICT technical support in the school, including the work of the Assistant Network Manager and the ICT technician(s). 

We are looking for someone who can undertake specialised technical and analytical support activities to assist professional colleagues in delivering more complex services and provide timely collection, processing and simple analysis of routine technical data and follow up on discrepancies/omissions to support the delivery of services. The post holder will also provide technical guidance and resolve non-standard issues for more junior non-technical staff to ensure customer and service issues are effectively resolved and will need to keep up to date with changes in policy/legislation/contractual requirements to ensure service delivery is effective and complies with appropriate regulations, quality standards and service level agreements. 

Candidates will be able to demonstrate extended experience to undertake the role and have working knowledge of the practices, processes and procedures involved. The role may deal with complex issues that need a degree of diagnosis and analysis in order to recommend the best course of action.  Communication skills are important as the post holder will be interacting with internal and external persons regularly. 

The successful candidate will be required to work 37 hours a week, Monday-Friday for 52 weeks of the year. They will be paid on Grade 7 (SCP 19-25). Previous experience will be taken into account when determining the appropriate point on the scale.

TA3 / Cover Supervisor

TA3 / Cover Supervisor

Grade 6 (SCP 11-19)

27.5 hours a week (term time plus INSET days) 

We are looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic TA3 / Cover Supervisor to support with the delivery of lessons across a variety of curriculum areas. 

As a cover supervisor you will play a vital role in providing effective cover and continuity of lessons for our students in cases of absence of classroom teachers.  You will be responsible for assisting pupils with set activities whilst maintaining standards of classroom behaviour and also encouraging student engagement.   

In addition, you will provide support as TA Level 3 across various lessons. You will work collaboratively with teaching staff and assist with planning, development and delivery of the curriculum whilst building supportive relationships with pupils. 

On occasion, the post holder may also be asked to assist with additional classroom support for students with Special Educational Needs under the direction of the SENDCO or by undertaking additional supervision duties. 

Applicants will have 5 GCSEs at grades C or above as well as experience of working with children and young people. The post holder will also have excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible approach to their work and the ability to work well under pressure. 

We are looking for an individual who can use their enthusiasm and confidence to support and encourage our students while ensuring appropriate progress and classroom behaviour. A willingness to support the Christian ethos and extra-curricular life of the school is also essential. A keen interest in Sports would also be desirable. 

This is a permanent contract and the post holder will work Monday to Friday during term time, plus INSET days. The working hours would be split between both aspects of this role; however, this may vary week upon week according to the needs of the school. The salary quoted above will be reduced to reflect the part time, part year nature of the role. The point at which the post-holder will be paid is dependent on their previous experience.

Grade 6 (27.5 hours a week - term time only) 

We are looking to appoint an Inclusion Manager to help support our students to overcome challenges which affect their attitude to learning, behaviour and attendance.

The post holder will work in a team of two and be based in our referral room where they will supervise and work with students who have been removed from lessons. Their work will focus on supporting students to complete work during their period of exclusion, re-integrate them into the classroom on their return and implement action plans to improve their attitude to learning. The post holder will also work closely with students and their families to support whole school initiatives to promote and sustain good attendance. 

We are looking for someone who has a professional and approachable manner, strong administrative and organisational skills and good awareness of how to ensure and promote the safeguarding and well-being of students. The ability to engage and communicate well with a variety of students and their families, sometimes in challenging circumstances, is an essential requirement for the role. 

Candidates will have at least grade C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics at GCSE and will have previous experience of working in a school. Experience of using SIMS would be an advantage but is not an essential requirement.

The successful candidate will be required to work 27.5 hours a week, Monday-Friday during term time only. They will be paid on Grade 6 (SCP 11-19). Previous experience will be taken into account when determining the appropriate point on the scale.
