Casual Lettings Supervisor
The Governors are looking to appoint a Casual Lettings Site Supervisor (Level 1) to work evening and weekends to support the letting of the school site to outside users.
The majority of the post holder’s time will be spent on preparing, supervising and ensuring the safe use of the site, both for external users and our students the following day.
We are looking for someone who will have an active presence on site, engaging with hirers and acting as a link between hirers and the School Operations Manager. Cleaning is a key part of the role and you will also be expected to act as a key holder, carrying out security procedures at the beginning and end of each shift. No experience is necessary but a positive attitude, awareness of health and safety, commitment to safeguarding and a flexible approach to work are essential requirements.
The school lettings calendar runs seven days a week and this is mostly between 4:30pm and 9:30pm Monday – Friday and from 7:30am onwards on a Saturday and Sunday. There may also be additional day-time work Monday – Friday during school holidays. This role will involve working on a Sunday and at least one other day of the week, to be arranged in consultation with the successful candidate. The rate of pay is in line with the Foundation Living Wage at £10.90 an hour.

27.5 hours a week - term time plus INSET days
Required from 1st September 2023
We are looking to appoint a dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant, with previous experience of supporting young people with SEND, to join our thriving team.
Under the direction of the SENDCO, the post-holder will be required to provide support and plan and deliver interventions to students with a variety of needs. The main duties are likely to include:
- Working with teachers in a collaborative way to plan and deliver interventions to groups and individual students across a variety of subjects
- Supporting pupils with practical work in Cooking and Nutrition and Design Technology
- Supervising and delivering activities with small groups in PE
- Planning and delivering one-to-one and small group interventions and tuition to support the school’s catch up programme
- Support in class across the curriculum
- Providing cover for timetabled classes when the teacher is absent
- Providing exam support as a reader and scribe
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, dedicated and reliable with an understanding of professional responsibilities and a desire to make a difference to the lives and educational opportunities of young people. The successful applicant will have experience of working with young people to provide personalised learning experiences; confidence in supporting vulnerable pupils with a variety of Special Educational Needs; a calm, patient and encouraging manner, with an ability to make learning engaging and excellent communication skills.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and will have a flexible approach to the tasks they undertake. The position will be ideally suited to someone with previous experience working within a busy school environment.
The post is term time plus INSET days at 27.5 hours a week which will be worked over five days, Monday – Friday. The salary is Grade 6 SCP 11-19. Previous experience will be used to determine which point on the scale the successful candidate will be paid at. The actual salary above will be reduced to reflect the part time, part year nature of the role.
