Reunion Dinner September 2025

Dear Old Huttonians,

Thank you to those who made it to the Annual Reunion Dinner held at the school on Saturday 27th September 2025. It was a good turnout with many 'Old Huttonians' visiting the school for the first time in a long while.
The tour of the school by resident expert, Ian Rawsthorne, is always much enjoyed and usually incorporates much laughter as guests remember their own experiences in those classrooms.
The Assembly Hall looked resplendent having been dressed so well by Raj and his team from The Mill, St. Catherine's Hospice who provided a very nice meal once again. Those strawberry tarts were just delicious. (Other indulgent desserts were also available).  The archive material laid out in the hall always adds interest. The 'stand up' bingo was a great ice breaker and some lucky OH pocketed £50.  Lots of raffle prizes were donated and won!! Thank you if you donated.
The retiring President Mr. John Settle gave a short address and welcomed the incoming President John Lucas and installed him with the chain of office - well nearly - it had to be a makeshift one as the real one was somewhere south of Watford. A long story but those present enjoyed a few moments of mirth along the way. The new president was very understanding and will be re-installed and correctly decorated very soon. A slight mishap to the Mill's van when it ran aground over a tree stump but no one was injured - just a little  pride dented. All's well that ends well.
Thank you if you came, thank you if you didn't but supported in some other way and I hope for 2026, you will consider being a guest again, or for the first time if you've not been before. It's sure to be a sell out.
