Enrichment

At Hutton Sixth Form we believe that opportunities outside of the classroom are just as important to your development as what you learn in class.

As well as providing an excellent academic platform, Hutton Sixth Form gives all students the opportunity to immerse themselves fully in the wide variety of enrichment activities on offer. This is fuelled by our core value of community. Students don’t just gel with their classmates, but are actively involved in activities that unite Years 12 and 13.

Subject specific enrichment is always available, from Science Cafes, theme park and zoo  trips, field studies and theatre visits, there is a rich programme that can be followed. Getting involved in these activities impresses potential employers and university admissions tutors, as well as being enjoyable in their own right.

Beyond the immediate scope of A level studies, other pastimes reach beyond the classroom.

These might include organising charity events, running a FairTrade sale, taking part in inter-house competitions and our annual Prom.

Hutton enjoys excellent sporting tradition - whether you wish to play sport at a competitive level or enjoy sport to help you relax on a Wednesday afternoon - there really is something for everyone should you wish to take up the option of taking up a sporting activity.

Our advice is always the same - immerse yourself in extra-curricular and super-curricular pursuits. They are there to be enjoyed, but will also offer life skills and help you take positive steps up career and university ladders too.
