  • Christmas Service

    All year groups braved the cold to walk down to St Andrew's in Longton for our Christmas Service. It was lovely to hear from our school choir, The Hutton Collective, as they performed some Christmas hymnns. For Mrs Watson's annual game, this year, pupils were challenged to wrap either a member of their form group or their form tutor.

  • Welcome Service at St Andrew's Church

    To celebrate the end of year 7 and year 12's first week at Hutton, a welcome service was held in St Andrew's Church. It is a lovely welcome to all the new students joining our community. Thank you to rev Crossely for puttin on the service for us.

  • GCSE results day - Hutton Boys Do It Again!

    We are delighted to announce another super set of GCSE results. In English 29% of students achieved grades 7-9 and in Maths 29%% gained grades 7-9. An impressive 81% of boys gained 5 or more standard passes (grade 4 and above) including English and Maths. 60% gained 5 or more strong passes (grade 5 or above) including English and Maths.

  • A Level Geography Liverpool Trip

    Year 12 geographers enjoyed a visit to Liverpool. They also got an in-depth tour of Liverpool port. This will complement the globalisation topic and help towards NEAs. What a brilliant day!

  • Preston College Visit

    As part of their research into post 16 options, all of our Year 10 students attended a taster day at Preston College. The students enjoyed the opportunity to explore possible options and subjects for when they leave. The students took part in a number of the practical subjects which ranged from Bricklaying and carpentry to Esports. The college staff and students were incredibly accommodating and able to provide practical support and guidance for students who are keen to explore what life beyond Hutton might look like.

  • Dove Cottage

    The English Department enjoyed a wonderful two days in the Lake District with Year 7 and 9. We visited Dove Cottage, the home of William Wordsworth, enjoyed a visit to the museum and had a lovely walk in the sunshine before heading into Grasmere village.

    Thank you to all the staff at Dove Cottage for showing us the museum and house as well as taking us for a walk in the beautiful local area.
